Before they languish in the abyss of my computer I better get some of these first day of school pictures online.
Tuesday was Ivy's first day of preschool with Ms. Lisa.
Wednesday was Noelle's first day of kindergarten with Mrs. Peterson. I asked her what her favorite thing was that happened at kindergarten, she said "My favorite thing was going potty! They have a tiny potty just for kids". So there you go. I thought it would be recess or meeting new kids.

Blessing Day
My adorable niece Gia was blessed today! It has been so fun seeing my sister and brother in law as parents. I don't think she could have been born to a more doting set of parents. They kindly let me snap some pictures!
One of my favorites!
We enjoyed scones. Grandma's specialty.
One of my favorite family pictures. Christine helped my dad build this pergola years ago.
Christine also helped build this pergola.
Grandma with a smattering of grandchildren (missing napping Emilia).
Love this cutie! Her personality is starting to show :)
Funny behind the scenes picture. Jon is under the blanket and Christine is snapping a picture of Gia.
We love you Gia!

Honor Flight
Here are a few pictures from Grandpa Bishop's Honor Flight. Their flight was delayed by a number of hours so it was quite late when they finally arrived! It was hard snapping pictures between the family members who gathered to welcome their loved ones home.

Snapshots
Ivy loves her blankie--especially that corner!
We took that kite all the way to the ocean and then forgot to fly it. Tonight Corey took the older girls to the park for their first kite flying while I had activity days.

A Little Beach Escape
It was about time we took time for a family vacation. Conveniently Aunt Tracey lives in paradise so it worked out perfectly to visit! We found a nice condo on the beach and all stayed together! We had a great time minus the day Aunt Tracey was cooped up in her room loosing her cookies.
We saw a seal!
California sounds warm and cozy, but it was actually pretty chilly. It felt more like an Oregon beach vacation--but that worked out ok as there were not as many people there.
It's hard to tell, but a minute before this picture Ivy was walking in the waves and stronger wave caused her to slip into the water. She was never in danger, but she was really really cold.
Noelle LOVED the water. That is all she wanted to do.
Ivy, no longer trusting the sea, decided she liked the sand best. We built sand castles and she had fun filling shells with sand.
On Sunday before we left I wanted one picture with all my girls (fitting for Mother's day). The first picture was the best one as some individuals started posing to keep things interesting and others refused to look at the camera.
I have to say real life chaos makes better pictures.
